High on the hills of Tabuado, in the heart of Marco de Canaveses, lies a 5-hectare family estate where vineyards, fruit trees, native flora, animals, and a small winery share breathtaking views over the city. This is the home of Sapateiro Boutique Winery – a place of serenity, authenticity, and experiences meant to be savoured.

Here we produce high-quality boutique wines made with autochthonous grape varietals, all carefully selected and hand-picked. Every bottle is individually numbered, a way to show our small and special production. Even the cork holds a secret – a hidden message waiting to be discovered.
Our production is around 15 000 bottles per year, and at the moment we produce around fifteen different wines; they are small batches or micro-vinifications in such small quantities that at the time you read this, some of them are likely to be sold out.

At the heart of it all is Tiago Soares, a passionate winemaker who blends deep respect for the authenticity of Vinho Verde with a modern vision to elevate the wine experience. His goal: to offer a genuine, contemporary, and vibrant expression of the region's charm.
From this warm and welcoming space, we host wine tastings where visitors can immerse themselves in the flavours, aromas, and stories of Sapateiro.

What began as a hobby and a love for the vineyard soon grew into something more.
I first made wine only for our family, but when I saw how much others enjoyed it, and asked for more, I began spending less time on shoes and more among the vines.
Today, this small family business fills me with pride, knowing that people from around the world raise a glass to our wines. Saúde!

Friendly and full of charm, Inácio, the big one, is trained and always ready to welcome guests. Chico, the older one, is the boss around here, and he makes sure everyone knows it.
